We had our meeting yesterday. It didn't go as well as we thought it would. Then again, we knew it was going to be tough.
My son's teacher doesn't believe in him. His teacher doesn't expect him to succeed, even though his scores are off the charts.
John and I were going to move Zach to a new classroom, and give him a fresh start. We found that we would be jumping out of the frying pan, into the fire.
We feel like we have been painted into a corner, and this is not what we expected for our 6 year old's classroom experience.
We decided to keep Zach in his current classroom, and to avoid any more discomfort for him that might happen from putting him into a new set of problems.
I don't think this is the right choice, and I certainly don't like the idea we might be taking the easy way out.
All we can focus on is that there is about 10 weeks of school left. We are going to focus on lifting Zach up, and giving him the positive reinforcement he isn't finding in his class. We are going to ask our family and friends to lift Zach up with your prayers. We are faithful, and we know that this will pass.
It's just so nice to know, that together we stand as a family, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
