That face makes me so happy. Happy to be alive, happy to be a Mom. It makes me happy that he got his Daddy's ears, and his Mama's blue eyes. This picture makes me happy that he sat still for his haircut... because they never do!
I sometimes think of my blog as a chore... one more thing that needs to be done. It feels like the laundry, dishes and the bills... only with pictures. However, at this weekend's birthday party, an old friend said "You always know what's going on in her house. You know she's having a good time reading to her boys... or what art project they are working on."

I smiled from ear to ear.

I love that, because I love that other people are enjoying the little moments of my life. People who love my children, are enjoying watching them grow up. For me, it's not about the milestones (well, okay- it is- sort of) but it's mostly about the little moments that fly by. It's not about the dressed up studio pictures...

it's about the day we spent at the park... and the Popsicle we enjoyed on the front step. And the fact that Mom is willing to do anything to get a good shot. Even balance something on her head... and my little monkeys have to do the same thing.
I'm glad we weren't eating ice cream cones that day.

And so with each post on this blog, I am going to remind myself that I am the luckiest mom alive. And the joy I am blessed with each and every day, is just going to overflow onto my blog. I am not going to worry about boring people to death... or bragging on my guy's every day. I am going to remind myself that the blog is my journal, and I just happen to be able to share it with a ton of people that love my boys.
So I apologize if I seem to have a need to document each day... as if I think I have the only children that are cute while eating Popsicles! But these boys are going to be little just once... and I plan on enjoying every day of it. (And sharing it with the coast to coast fan club!)
